STATEWIDE: CEO EVENT - May 10, 2014

Aloha!

Now that we are wrapping up the 2014 Cookie Season, it's time to CELEBRATE the success of our Girl Scouts!!

This year's CEO Event will be held onboard the Star of Honolulu on May 10, 2014 from 11:30am-2:30pm.  There will be fun activities for the girls and a rare chance to cruise on this fabulous ship while enjoying a delicious luncheon buffet!

For those of you who are new, the CEO Event is an event to honor all of the girls hard work this season, but also to honor the girls who have sold 700+ boxes of cookies.  These girls may attend the event at no cost!

Of course, the more the merrier, and so we open this invitation to all girls and adult volunteers.  The cost per person will be as follows:

$45/person if registered by 4/20/14.

After 4/20/14, the rate will be $55/person.  This is a discounted rate and therefore a great opportunity to ride the Star of Honolulu.

Registration will begin some time later next week.  Stay tuned!

MAHALO and we hope that your troop will be able to join us!

STATEWIDE: Square CC Reader and App for Booth Sites 2014!

Aloha!

Mobile Credit Card Readers
Once again this year, Girl Scouts is partnering with Square to allow troops to accept credit card and debit payments at cookie booth sites. Each troop will be allowed to sign up two adults to use the Square application and card reader.  The card readers are free to use and payments go directly to Girl Scouts of Hawaii. How great is that?  Getting started is easy. First, verify compatibility with the smartphone or mobile device.  Square is  compatible with most Apple iOS devices running 6.0 or higher and Google Android devices running 2.3 or higher.  Then designated volunteers need to complete this form https://girlscoutshawaii.wufoo.com/forms/square-cc-reader-app-for-booth-sales-2014/ no later than Feb. 14th to ensure delivery of the Square card reader before booth sales begin on Feb. 28th.    A few days after submission, volunteers will receive an email from Square.  Be sure to read the email and complete the final steps of registration.  Once completed, the Square card reader will be mailed directly to the volunteers.  Please be advised, troops wishing to accept credit card payments must complete this registration process in order to properly link to the correct bank account.   Square payments, just as all other deposits, need to be annotated in the “Deposits” section of eBudde.  If you have any questions please contact Gretchen at grdriscoll@girlscouts-hawaii.org
